About Honaunau Bay
Honaunau Bay at Pu’uhonua O Hōnaunau National Historic Park is often referred to as the “Place of Refuge” (https://www.nps.gov/puho/index.htm). Pu’uhonua means “Place of Refuge”. From our boats you’ll see Pu’uhonua O Hōnaunau National Historic Park, a historic site that was of great importance in Hawaiian history and is more than 500 years old.
This location is home to beautiful snorkeling called “Two-Step” and is enriched in Hawaiian history(https://www.nps.gov/puho/index.htm). Honaunau Bay is a uniquely beautiful with shallow coral canyons and massive coral heads. Snorkeling here is almost always calm and the waters have exceptional visibility most of the year.
