YOUR BOAT. YOUR DAY.
Skip the crowds entirely. On a private boat tour with Dolphin Discoveries, the whole boat belongs to your group, your own captain, your own crew, and an itinerary built around exactly what you want to do on the water.
There's a Hawaiian phrase for what we do out here: holo holo, heading out just to enjoy the ride, no agenda required. Maybe that's snorkeling Captain Cook's Monument with no one else around. Maybe it's looking for whales, or following a pod of dolphins down the coast. Maybe it's all three.
Fair warning: this is not a giant catamaran with a buffet line. Our boats are small, fast, and open-air, you'll feel the wind, sit close to the water, and get where you're going in minutes.
And since the crew has exactly one group to take care of, yours, you get all of their attention, their best snorkel spots, and every dolphin fact they know. They've got a lot of them.

Keauhou Bay, just south of Kailua-Kona. One of the best things about our location: you're on the water and into the good stuff within minutes, not stuck on a long boat commute.
Pretty much anything the ocean offers. Snorkel Captain Cook's Monument in Kealakekua Bay, watch for whales and dolphins, cruise the Kona Coast, or mix it all together. "Holo Holo" means going out for the pleasure of it - you tell us the vibe, and your captain builds the day around it.
Your captain, naturalist crew, all snorkel gear (silicone masks and dry snorkels), and flotation. We keep dry boxes on board for your phones and valuables. Our boats are open-air with limited shade and no restroom - part of the fast, adventurous fun, but plan accordingly.
Book directly online, or call us at (808) 322-8000 — we love planning these. If you have something specific in mind, just ask. Odds are we can make it happen.
All ages are welcome aboard. For in-water activities, swimmers need to be at least 6 years old and comfortable in the ocean, younger kids are happy passengers on deck.
Max number of guests is 12 on one boat. Multiple boats are available for your events.
Nope! Ride-alongs are always welcome on a private charter. Grandma can watch from the comfort of the boat while the kids snorkel. The Moana Lou has both bench and pontoon seating, so there's a comfortable spot for everyone.
It's perfect for it. We've hosted proposals, anniversaries, family reunions, and corporate retreats. Tell us what you're celebrating when you book and we'll help you plan the moment.
Ocean safety comes first, always. If your captain calls off the trip for conditions, we'll work with you to reschedule. For your own plan changes, add Trip Assurance at checkout for 48-hour cancellation flexibility — otherwise our standard no-refund policy applies.
