The Retail & Check-In Staff serves as the first point of contact for guests, setting the tone for a welcoming and organized experience from arrival to departure.
This role involves managing reservations, handling guest check-ins efficiently, and processing retail transactions with accuracy and professionalism. Staff are expected to answer inquiries, provide helpful information about services and offerings, and ensure guests feel informed and comfortable throughout their visit. In addition to front-facing responsibilities, they maintain clean and visually appealing retail displays, monitor inventory levels, and ensure all systems and records are up to date.
A strong focus on customer service, attention to detail, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment are essential to delivering a seamless and positive guest experience.
The Captain is responsible for the overall safety, navigation, and operation of the vessel, ensuring that every trip is conducted with the highest standards of professionalism and care.
Holding a valid USCG license, the Captain oversees all onboard activities, from route planning and weather assessment to compliance with maritime laws and safety protocols. They lead and coordinate with the crew, ensuring clear communication and efficient execution of duties throughout the journey. The Captain also conducts safety briefings for guests, maintains situational awareness at all times, and is fully prepared to respond to emergencies if needed.
Beyond technical responsibilities, this role plays a key part in creating a smooth and enjoyable experience for passengers by maintaining a calm, confident presence and ensuring the vessel is always in optimal condition.
The Naturalist Guide / Deck Crew plays a dual role in both enhancing the guest experience and supporting the vessel’s daily operations. As a guide, they provide engaging and informative commentary about the surrounding environment, including local wildlife, marine ecosystems, and points of interest, helping guests develop a deeper appreciation for the natural setting.
They are skilled in communicating complex information in an accessible and enjoyable way, adapting their approach to suit different audiences. In addition to guiding, they assist the Captain with essential deck duties such as docking procedures, line handling, safety preparations, and maintaining overall cleanliness and order onboard.
This role requires strong teamwork, situational awareness, and a passion for both hospitality and the outdoors, ensuring each trip is not only safe and efficient but also memorable and enriching for every guest.
